Rent ledger for landlords

Every feature, from the first launch.

No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.

What Rentroll does

Rentroll is the private offline ledger built for small landlords who own PG rooms, house floors, or corner shops — and are tired of chasing rent in a notebook.

Add each unit once: tenant name, monthly rent, deposit held, and a phone note. Then each month, open the grid and tap to mark paid, partial, or due. Add meter readings or electricity sub-bills as extras on any entry. Rentroll computes running arrears automatically, so you know exactly who owes what without flipping back through pages.

No spreadsheet juggling. No WhatsApp confusion. No app subscription.

• Unit ledger with tenant name, rent, deposit, and move-in date • Month grid: paid, partial, due, with paidDate logged • Extras per entry for electricity, water, or other charges • Home screen: this month collected vs due, total arrears • Year view: full 12-month payment history per unit • 100% offline, SwiftData on-device, zero account required

What's inside

  • Unit ledger — Add each room or shop with tenant name, monthly rent, security deposit held, phone note, and move-in date. Edit anytime; deposit shows in summary.
  • Month grid + MarkPaid — Grid of all units for the current month showing paid, partial, or due status. Tap any cell to log amount paid, date, and an optional extras note (electricity, water).
  • Arrears dashboard — Home screen computes total due vs collected for the open month and running arrears from prior months, highlighting overdue units at a glance.
  • Year view — Scrollable 12-month payment calendar per unit showing paid, partial, and missed months — the digital equivalent of a yearly rent register.

Why we built it

Small landlords in India and SEA manage rent manually: a notebook for each month, WhatsApp messages to chase tenants, and mental arithmetic for electricity sub-bills and deposits. They miss arrears that carry over silently, have no record of partial payments, and cannot quickly answer 'how much do I collect this month…

What makes it different

A purpose-built offline ledger for micro-landlords (2–20 units) with a month-grid UI modelled on the physical notebook they already use — unlike RentOk or spreadsheet workarounds it requires no account, no internet, and no per-property SaaS fee, while adding computed arrears, deposit tracking, and per-entry electricit…

Who it's for

Operations leaders and small teams who want a tool in their workflow without buying another platform.
