Fold Kitchen / Privacy Policy

Fold Kitchen privacy policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026 (version 1.0 for iPhone and iPad)

The short version

  • Your recipe book, stamps, coins, upgrades and settings are stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, a copy goes to your own iCloud account through Apple, never to us.
  • Anonymous product analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) tell us which features are used. No advertising identifier, no names, nothing you type, not linked to you, not used for tracking or ads.
  • Nothing is sent to our notification service unless you allow notifications. If you do, your device registers with it only so we can deliver the reminders you chose.
  • Game Center goes through Apple, under Apple's privacy policy.
  • Fold Kitchen is a paid app with no in-app purchases. Apple handles the purchase; we never see your payment details.
  • No accounts, no ads, no location, no tracking, and we never sell data.

1. What stays on your device (and in your iCloud)

Fold Kitchen is a cooking game for iPhone and iPad on the App Store, built by All Things AI, Inc. Everything the game keeps (which recipes you have learned, your Golden Fold stamps, story progress, coins and tips, cart upgrades, outfits and decorations, kid drawings, Daily Special results, your Night Market best, your difficulty and every other setting) is stored on your device, in one save file, and in your device backups under Apple's protections. We do not run a server that receives it, and we never see it.

iCloud sync (optional). If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, the same save is mirrored to iCloud Key-Value Storage in your own iCloud account, so your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account can pick it up. That copy is stored and protected by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; it never passes through us. You can turn sync off at any time in Settings. Deleting the app deletes the save on that device; the iCloud copy is managed from your device's iCloud settings.

iPhone Duo. On iPhone Duo the game reads the hinge angle to fold the dumpling and close the steamer. That reading is used only in the moment, on the device, and is never stored or sent anywhere.

2. Anonymous product analytics

Fold Kitchen uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous usage statistics, so we can see what to fix and improve. It collects:

  • which screens and features are used (for example that an order was served and its star rating, which recipe or technique was played, that a day, city, festival or Daily Special was completed, how far a Night Market run went, which difficulty is chosen, and whether a fold came from the hinge or from touch), with counts and coarse buckets, never exact values;
  • the app version, device model and OS version, and a random app-instance identifier generated by Firebase;
  • a coarse location (such as country or region) that Google derives from your IP address.

It never collects the advertising identifier (IDFA), the identifier for vendors (IDFV), your precise location, your name, or anything you type. Ad personalization and ad storage are switched off, this data is not linked to your identity, and it is not used for tracking or advertising. Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months.

3. Notifications

Fold Kitchen never asks for notification permission when you first open it. It asks only after a good moment in the game, after a short explanation, or when you choose Settings → Notifications. Until you allow notifications, the app sends nothing to our notification service: no device token and no other information. Once you allow them, the app registers your device with our own notification service, push.allthingsn.com, operated by All Things AI, Inc. It sends:

  • the Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token;
  • the app version and build, OS version and device class;
  • your language and time zone;
  • your notification permission status and your topic choices (for example, Daily Special reminders on or off, and product news, which is off unless you turn it on).

We use this information only to deliver the notifications you chose. It never includes your recipe book, your progress or anything that identifies you. Device tokens that Apple reports as no longer valid (for example after the app is deleted) are removed. To have your device's record deleted sooner, contact us.

4. Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, Fold Kitchen uses Apple's Game Center for leaderboards (Night Market, Daily Special, story stars and dumplings folded) and achievements. Game Center is operated by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy. We receive nothing beyond what Apple shows on the leaderboards. You can play without signing in.

5. Buying the app

Fold Kitchen is a one-time purchase on the App Store with no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. Apple processes the payment, keeps the receipt and handles Family Sharing; we never see your payment details or who in your family installed it.

6. Sharing

Sharing a Daily Special result happens only when you choose to, through the standard share sheet, and the shared text contains only the day's result line, never anything about you.

7. Ratings

After a Golden Fold stamp or another proud moment, Fold Kitchen may show Apple's standard rating prompt. Apple handles that prompt and any rating you leave; we do not see who rated.

8. What we do not do

  • No accounts, email or sign-in.
  • No ads, and no advertising identifier.
  • No location, microphone or camera use.
  • No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
  • We do not sell your data.

9. Children and families

Fold Kitchen is a family-friendly cooking game with no accounts, no chat and no way to share with strangers, and it asks no one for personal information. The only information that leaves the device is described in sections 2 to 4, and none of it identifies anyone. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Terms of use

Your use of Fold Kitchen is governed by our Terms of Use and, as an App Store app, by Apple's Standard License Agreement (EULA).

Changes to this policy

If we change how Fold Kitchen handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before the new version ships.
