Casebook: Claims & Care / Privacy Policy

Casebook: Claims & Care privacy policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026

The short version

Casebook is an iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch app built by All Things AI, Inc. Everything you put into it (your cases, scanned letters and bills, the details read from them, call notes, letters, benefit amounts and visit recordings) is stored only on your device. Casebook has no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising. We never receive your information, so we can't see it, sell it or share it.

Health and insurance information

Casebook is designed for sensitive material: insurance denials, prior authorizations, medical bills, treatment plans and notes from appointments. That information is processed on your device only. Reading documents, working out deadlines and drafting letters all happen on the iPhone or iPad itself. Casebook is not operated by a health plan or a healthcare provider, and it does not send anything to your insurer, your doctor or us. When you share a letter or case packet, you choose where it goes using the standard iOS share sheet.

Permissions and what they are used for

  • Camera: to scan letters, bills and treatment plans. Images are saved in the app on your device.
  • Photos and Files: only the images or PDFs you pick are imported.
  • Microphone and speech recognition: only when you record a visit recap or a voice note during a call, after asking for your consent. Transcription uses Apple's on-device speech recognition wherever your device supports it. On a device that can't transcribe on-device, iOS may send the audio to Apple's speech recognition service to turn it into text, under Apple's privacy policy. We never receive the audio or the text.
  • Notifications: local reminders for deadlines and overdue promises, scheduled on the device. No push server is involved.
  • Calendar: only if you choose "Add to Calendar" for a deadline, and only that event is written.
  • Face ID or passcode: if you turn on the app lock. Apple handles the check; Casebook never sees your biometric data.

Apple Intelligence

On devices that support Apple Intelligence, Casebook can offer to polish a letter using Apple's on-device language model. That request runs on your device. On other devices this option doesn't appear, and letters are written from templates on the device.

Apple Watch

The Watch app shows your upcoming deadlines, overdue promises and a hold timer. That summary is sent from your iPhone to your paired Apple Watch directly, using Apple's WatchConnectivity. It does not pass through any server of ours.

Not medical or legal advice

Casebook helps you organize your case and communicate clearly. It does not provide medical, legal or insurance advice, does not diagnose anything, and cannot guarantee any outcome. Deadlines are estimates based on common rules; always confirm them with your plan documents or your plan.

Deleting your data

Because everything is stored only on your device, you are in control of it. Delete any item inside the app, or delete the app to remove all of its data from that device. If your device backs up to iCloud or your computer, a copy of the app's data is included in that backup under Apple's protections, as with any app; we cannot see or access it. We keep no copy anywhere, so there is nothing for us to delete on a server.

In-app purchases

Casebook: Claims & Care is free with all features included. There is no in-app purchase, subscription, advertising or paid tier.

Children

Casebook: Claims & Care is not directed at children under 13, in line with the app's age rating on the App Store.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Casebook: Claims & Care handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before the new version ships. A change that sends any of your information off your device would be announced in the app first and would require your permission.

Terms of use

Your use of Casebook: Claims & Care is governed by our Terms of Use and, as an App Store app, by Apple's Standard License Agreement (EULA).
