About this app
What Casebook: Claims & Care does
Insurance paperwork is built to wear you down: a denial letter with a clock you can't see, a prior authorization that's "still pending", a rep who promised a callback that never came. Casebook is the other side's paperwork, finally on your side. Scan a denial letter, an EOB, a prior-auth decision, a bill or a dental treatment plan and Casebook reads it on your iPhone: dates, amounts, claim numbers, procedure codes and the denial reason, each one tappable so you can see exactly where on the page it came from. It works out your deadlines (internal appeal, external review, Medicare redetermination, expedited review, No Surprises Act disputes) and shows how each date was calculated. On-a-call mode times your hold and logs the rep's name, reference number and what they promised, then reminds you when a promise goes overdue. The letter builder drafts appeals, external review requests, itemized-bill requests and complaints from your case, ready to send as a PDF. A benefits planner shows how to split a dental treatment plan across two plan years to get the most from both annual maximums. Everything stays on your device. No account, no server, no analytics. Casebook helps you organize and communicate; it does not give medical or legal advice, and you should confirm deadlines with your plan.
Who it's for
Who Casebook: Claims & Care is for, and how it works
Casebook is for anyone fighting their own insurance paperwork: a denied MRI, a prior authorization stuck in limbo, a surprise bill, a dental plan that needs timing across two benefit years. It's also for the family member or caregiver who ends up making the calls.
It organizes the case and helps you communicate clearly. It doesn't give medical or legal advice, and it never sends your information anywhere.
Features
Built to be useful, not noisy.
Scan & read
Point the camera at a denial, EOB, prior-auth decision, bill or treatment plan; Casebook pulls out dates, amounts, claim numbers, codes and the denial reason on-device, and every field links back to where it sits on the page.
Deadline engine
Internal appeal, external review, Medicare, expedited and No Surprises Act clocks computed from the letter date, with the reasoning shown, countdowns and reminders.
On-a-call mode
Hold timer plus rep name, reference number and what was promised by when; overdue promises come back as reminders, and a three-line summary means you never repeat yourself.
Letter builder
Appeals, external review and expedited requests, itemized-bill requests, No Surprises Act disputes and complaint letters, filled from your case and exported as PDF.
Benefits timing
Track deductible, out-of-pocket and dental annual maximums, and split a treatment plan across two plan years to get the most from both.
Private by design
No account, no server, no analytics. Face ID lock, a case packet PDF for family or advocates, and an Apple Watch view of upcoming deadlines.
Why it exists
The problem
Insurers, clinics and dental practices are getting AI for coverage rules, prior authorization and treatment planning. Patients on the other side still get dense letters, invisible deadlines and hours on hold, with no record of what they were promised.
What's different
How Casebook: Claims & Care stands out
Casebook combines document reading, deadline math, a call-and-promise log and letter drafting in one private, on-device case file. Existing options are cloud services for single appeals, concierge services, or provider portals that only show one provider's view.
