About this app
What Barwork does
Barwork is the offline calisthenics coach that guides you from zero to elite bodyweight skills through structured, step-by-step progressions. Pick a goal — muscle-up, front lever, handstand, pistol squat — and Barwork lays out every prerequisite drill in order. Log your reps or hold times after each set and Barwork tracks your bests, signals when you've hit the target to advance, and draws a clear mastery ring around every skill. No gym, no equipment beyond a pull-up bar, and no internet required ever. Your training data stays on your device using SwiftData. • 8 seeded skills spanning pulling, pushing, and balance • Ordered progression steps with clear rep and hold targets • Per-session logging with personal-best tracking • Mastery rings and advancement prompts per step • Skill badges and achievement milestones • Workout view to run today’s session without distraction • 100% offline, zero account, zero ads
Features
Built to be useful, not noisy.
Skill progression ladder
Each of the 8 seeded skills (pull-up, muscle-up, front lever, back lever, handstand, handstand push-up, pistol squat, L-sit) is broken into 5-8 ordered ProgressionSteps with a named drill, a rep or hold-time target, and clear advancement criteria.
Session log
Log any step's sets as reps or seconds. Barwork surfaces your all-time best per step and highlights when you've hit the target threshold across multiple sessions, unlocking the next step.
Progress rings and mastery
Each skill on the home screen shows a circular progress ring reflecting how many of its steps are mastered. Completing all steps unlocks a skill badge stored in AchievementsView.
Focused workout view
A distraction-free screen that queues today's recommended step for each active skill, lets you log sets with one tap, and marks the session complete.
Why it exists
The problem
Calisthenics progression is notoriously opaque: most people plateau because they skip prerequisite drills or log nothing, and existing apps are either generic rep-counters or require subscriptions and cloud accounts just to track a bodyweight workout.
What's different
How Barwork stands out
Barwork is the only offline-first app built around a curated skill-progression ladder per movement — not a generic exercise library — so users always know exactly which drill to do today and when they've truly earned the right to advance, with no account or subscription required.
