Your home’s paint, always on hand

Every feature, from the first launch.

No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.

What Paintkeep does

Paintkeep is the offline paint-colors logbook every homeowner needs. Record each room’s exact paint — brand, color name, color code, finish, date painted, and store — then see a vivid swatch so you can identify it at a glance. Next time a wall needs a touch-up, open Paintkeep, tap the room, and walk into the paint counter with every detail already in your pocket.

No guessing. No returning to the hardware store with a chip that doesn’t quite match. No forgotten codes buried in a drawer.

• Color swatch grid — your whole home at a glance • Full paint entry: brand, color name, code, finish, date, store • Copy color code with one tap for perfect reorders • Per-room view with all paints used (ceiling, trim, walls) • Notes field for tips, prep notes, or coats applied • 100 % offline — SwiftData, no account, no sync required

What's inside

  • Swatch grid home screen — A grid of color swatches, one per room, giving an instant visual index of every painted surface in the home. Tap a swatch to open the full room detail.
  • Paint entry log — Structured form capturing brand, color name, color code, finish (flat/eggshell/satin/semi-gloss/gloss), date painted, store, and open notes. Hex preview updates as the user enters a code.
  • Room view with all coats — Each room card lists every paint entry associated with it — walls, trim, ceiling — so the full picture of a room’s color scheme is one place.
  • One-tap color code copy — From the detail view, a single tap copies the exact color code to the clipboard so the user can paste it directly into a retailer’s search or share it with a contractor.

Why we built it

Homeowners forget the exact paint used in each room within months of painting. When a wall needs a touch-up they hunt through old receipts, take chips to the store, or repaint an entire wall hoping to match — a time-wasting, money-wasting problem with a simple data solution.

What makes it different

Paintkeep focuses purely on the paint logbook use case: a swatch-first visual index, a structured PaintEntry data model covering every field a paint counter needs, and a one-tap color-code copy — fully offline with no account. Existing home-decor apps are bloated mood-board tools; no dedicated offline paint logbook ex…
