EV charging log, offline

Every feature, from the first launch.

No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.

What Chargebook does

Chargebook is the simple, private logbook every EV owner actually needs. Record each charging session — kWh added, total cost, start and end battery percent, miles or km gained, and whether you charged at home or at a public station. Chargebook instantly calculates your cost per kWh, cost per mile, and rolling monthly spend so you always know the real price of driving electric.

Supports multiple vehicles, unit switching between miles and kilometres, and exports a clean CSV if you ever need the numbers elsewhere. Everything runs entirely offline with SwiftData — no account, no subscription, no cloud sync required.

• Log sessions in under 20 seconds: kWh, cost, location, start/end percent • Cost-per-kWh and cost-per-mile computed instantly • Monthly and yearly spend totals per vehicle • Home vs. public charging breakdown • Multi-vehicle support with battery capacity profiles • Miles or kilometres, your choice • CSV export for tax records or reimbursement • Fully offline, no account ever

What's inside

  • Session logger — Add a charging session in under 20 seconds: date, kWh added, total cost, start and end battery percent, location type (home/public), and optional notes.
  • Cost insights — Automatically computes cost per kWh, cost per mile or km, and session efficiency from entered data, displayed per session and rolled up monthly.
  • Vehicle profiles — Store each vehicle's name, battery capacity (kWh), and efficiency rating so all calculations are accurate and you can switch between cars.
  • Monthly dashboard — Rolling month view showing total spend, total kWh, sessions count, and a home-vs-public split — the single screen that answers 'what did charging cost me this month?'

Why we built it

EV owners have no easy way to know their true cost per mile from charging — they rely on rough mental math, scattered receipts, or spreadsheets, and popular apps either require a cloud account, focus on route planning rather than cost logging, or mix too many features to be usable as a daily logbook.

What makes it different

A focused, fully offline charging logbook that pairs per-session logging with instant cost-per-kWh and cost-per-mile calculations and a clean monthly spend view — unlike navigation and charging-network apps it does one thing deeply, with SwiftData privacy and no account required.

Who it's for

Anyone who values a small, sharp, single-purpose tool that does one job well and stays out of the way.
