What Ferritrack does
Your iron story is long — and right now it lives in screenshots, a Notes list, and three different patient portals. Ferritrack puts the whole thing on one private timeline: every IV iron visit, every oral iron course, every ferritin and hemoglobin result, and how you actually felt in between.
IV iron is rarely one appointment. A typical series spreads the total dose across multiple visits over several weeks, and labs are usually rechecked a couple of months after the series ends. Ferritrack models that reality: create a series, log each visit's date and dose, and watch the series fill in visit by visit. When it finishes, set a recheck reminder for whatever window you and your care team agreed on, so the follow-up lab never sneaks past you again.
The chart is the heart of the app. Ferritin, hemoglobin, and transferrin saturation plot on one graph with your infusion dates and supplement courses marked directly on the curve — the exact picture every follow-up visit starts with, and the one no portal draws. Add your own reference range so you can see at a glance where each result landed. Because entries are manual, results from any lab, hospital, or country live together on one line: Quest, the hospital portal, your OB's office, all of it.
Symptoms complete the picture. Rate fatigue, restless legs, hair shedding, brain fog, and breathlessness on a simple scale, then overlay those scores on the same timeline to see how you felt as the numbers moved.
When an appointment comes up, generate a clean one-page summary of your labs, doses, and symptom trend to bring along or share — instead of scrolling through a portal in the waiting room.
Ferritrack is a personal record keeper, not medical advice: it never interprets results, suggests doses, or replaces your care team. Everything stays on your device — no account, no cloud, no login.

What's inside
- Iron Timeline — One scrollable chart that plots ferritin, hemoglobin, and transferrin saturation over years, with every IV visit and oral course drawn directly on the curve and user-set reference bands behind it — the picture every follow-up starts with.
- Infusion Series Log — Model IV iron the way it actually happens: a series with a planned number of visits, then each visit logged with date, dose in mg, and location. Progress fills in visit by visit and the series closes with a completion date.
- Lab Log — Fast manual entry of ferritin, hemoglobin, and transferrin saturation from any lab or portal, with source, notes, and at-a-glance placement against the reference range you set with your care team.
- Oral Iron Courses — Track supplement courses — form, dose, schedule, start and stop dates — so months of bisglycinate or sulfate show up as shaded spans on the same timeline as your labs.
- Symptom Scores — Quick 0-10 ratings for fatigue, restless legs, hair shedding, brain fog, and breathlessness, overlaid on the lab curve so you can see how you felt as the numbers moved.
- Recheck Planner & Report — After a series or course ends, set a reminder for the recheck window you chose with your clinician, and generate a one-page summary of labs, doses, and symptom trend for the appointment.
Why we built it
Iron repletion is a multi-year, multi-provider saga — IV series spread over five or more visits, oral courses, and ferritin/hemoglobin rechecks every 8-12 weeks — yet no patient tool puts infusion dates, supplement courses, lab values, and symptoms on one timeline. Patients answer 'when was your last dose and what did…
What makes it different
Iron Counter and Tracker (the only notable iOS 'iron' app) counts dietary iron in food — no infusions, no lab trends. MyChart and other portals show raw results per health system but can't overlay treatment dates or symptoms and are siloed per provider. CareClinic and spreadsheets have no iron-specific model (no multi…
