What Creel does

Creel is the private catch journal for anglers who take their fishing seriously and their spots seriously. Log every catch — species, length, weight, lure or bait, water type, a weather note, and a photo — in the time it takes to unhook the fish. Mark a spot as secret and it stays that way: no account, no sync, no public map ever sees it.

Back at home, flip through your personal bests by species, see which lures dominated which month, and compare your catch rate across water types. Season stats build automatically so you can walk into next season knowing exactly what worked.

What's inside

Secret Spots — Named spot records with kind (lake, river, pond, saltwater) and private notes, stored entirely on-device with no map tile or coordinate ever uploaded.
Personal Bests & Recent Feed — Home screen shows the last five catches and the heaviest / longest fish per species, updated the moment a new catch is saved.
Season Stats — Charts by species, lure, water type, and calendar month show catch totals and trends, helping anglers identify what is actually working across a season.

Anglers who have built up hard-earned knowledge of productive spots are reluctant to use cloud-connected social fishing apps like Fishbrain — which earned a 'spot burner' reputation before adding privacy toggles — so they fall back to paper notebooks, spreadsheets, or WhatsApp group photos that offer no structured sta…
