Yes. Every screen is free to use: no subscription, no in-app purchases, no account.
Do I need an account?+
No. Open Wall Street Friend and start using it right away. Sign in with Google only if you want to upvote an app, save it to your list, or leave a comment.
Where is my data stored?+
Only in this browser's local storage. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers, so we can't see it, back it up, or restore it. Clearing site data, a private window, or another device starts empty. Export a backup from the in-app menu to keep it.
How is the web version different from the Wall Street Friend phone app?+
The iPhone app streams live coverage from wsfriend.com; the web version has no network at all, so it ships the app's bundled research library instead — every price, report and filing count is editable, and you can add any ticker yourself. There are no live quotes, no news feed, no 13-F institutional holdings and no options chain on the web; the market-pulse tiles are a bundled snapshot. The backtest assumes today's implied move was the option market's price at every past report, because there is no historical option chain in the browser; short strikes sit at that implied move and positions come off the morning after. The iPhone app can connect an Alpaca paper-trading account for positions and an equity curve; on the web you grade saved ideas won or lost yourself. Everything is saved in this browser only.
