About this app

What Suitor does

Suitor is a quiet, private coach for the side of dating apps that no one helps you with: the photo you should lead with, the bio you should write, the first message you should send, and the date you should actually prepare for. What's in v1: — Photo Grader. Drop in up to 9 candidate photos from your camera roll. Suitor uses on-device Vision (face detection, brightness, blur, saliency) plus a hand-tuned heuristic stack to score each on five axes: clarity, expression, framing, color contrast, and "only-you-in-the-shot." You get an ordered shortlist and the reason for each rank. Photos never leave your phone. — Bio Studio. Eight bio templates (warm, dry, niche-interest, career-led, faith-led, traveler, recovery-aware, single-parent), with editable blanks. Plus a "writing rules" page with the patterns that recur in research-backed top-quartile bios (specificity, no negations, 1 strong opener, 1 invitation). — Date Prep. Before each date, log: where, what time, what they like, three first-question prompts, three things you'd rather not bring up first. Suitor surfaces these in a checklist 4 hours before the meeting time. — Reply Helper. Paste a recent message thread (text), get a short "what's actually happening here" reading + three reply options of escalating warmth. All on-device. — Aftercare. A 24-hour reflection prompt the morning after a date: what surprised you, what would you do again, what would you change. What Suitor is not: a chatbot that pretends to be your date. A photo retoucher. A swipe automator. A profile-builder that uploads anywhere. Free. Optional Suitor Plus unlock ($9.99 one-time) adds the specialty bio packs, the full Date-Prep history, and the Reply Helper's three-option export.

Why it exists

The problem

Match Group's stock is -75% from peak. Pew 2024: dating-app dissatisfaction at all-time highs. The frustration has 4 layers: bad photos (people pick the wrong shot), bad bios (boring or unflattering), dead-end conversations (no first-message technique), badly prepared first dates (no rehearsal). AI can address every layer — but the existing AI dating coaches (RizzAgent, YourMove.ai, Wingmate, Aimm) all transmit your photos and conversations to a server. Privacy isn't a footnote in dating; it's the moat.

What's different

How Suitor stands out

Suitor is the only iOS dating coach where every operation runs on-device. Photo grading uses Apple Vision (no upload). Bio templates ship in the bundle (no API call). Reply Helper runs on-device LLM-free heuristics (pattern + tone analysis). Compared to RizzAgent (real-time earbud coach, cloud-based) and YourMove.ai ($4M seed, cloud), Suitor takes a privacy-first stance. Compared to in-platform Hinge/Bumble AI features (Bumble launched photo feedback Feb 2026), Suitor is platform-agnostic and works on your actual camera roll.
