A queue that tells you the truth
The home screen leads with how much reading and listening is actually left in your unread queue, and offers to resume whatever you were part-way through.
Distraction-free reader
Light, sepia or dark paper, serif or sans, 14–28 pt — the article, and nothing else. Scrolling quietly tracks how far you got, the way the iPhone reader does.
Listen paragraph by paragraph
Your browser's own voice narrates the article at 0.5x–2x, highlighting the paragraph it is on, and reading progress moves with it. Tap any paragraph to start from there.
Highlight with notes
Tap a passage to keep it, add a note, and find every highlight grouped by article — export the lot as Markdown.

Is the web version of Linger free?+
Yes. Sign in with a free All Things AI account and use every screen — no subscription, no in-app purchases.
Where is my data stored?+
Only in this browser's local storage. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers, so we can't see it, back it up, or restore it. Clearing site data, a private window, or another device starts empty. Export a backup from the in-app menu to keep it.
Do I need an account?+
You can read about the app without one, but you must sign in to open it. Sign-in is free and takes a few seconds with Google.
How is the web version different from the Linger iPhone app?+
A browser tab cannot fetch a page from another site, so there is no share-sheet extension and no automatic reader-mode extraction: you paste the article text alongside the link, and Linger does the word count, read time, excerpt and paragraph split. Narration uses your browser's built-in speech voice rather than Apple's neural voices, and it stops when you leave the reader — there is no background or lock-screen playback. Highlights are whole paragraphs you tap, not an arbitrary text selection. No iCloud sync and no reminder notifications; the library lives in this one browser, so export a JSON backup if you want it elsewhere.
