Where is my data stored?+
Only in this browser's local storage. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers, so we can't see it, back it up, or restore it. Clearing site data, a private window, or another device starts empty. Export a backup from the in-app menu to keep it.
Do I need an account?+
You can read about the app without one, but you must sign in to open it. Sign-in is free and takes a few seconds with Google.
How is the web version different from the Brieflet iPhone app?+
Brieflet is not legal advice and not a law firm. It organizes your own paperwork; USCIS is the only source of truth for fees, editions and processing times. The iPhone app photographs each document and runs on-device Vision OCR; on the web you type or paste the key dates and numbers instead of scanning them. Fees and edition dates are the April 2024 USCIS schedule — verify every one on uscis.gov before you mail, because a wrong amount gets the whole package returned. Nothing is submitted anywhere: Brieflet never talks to USCIS and cannot file, pay or check your case status for you.
