Prayer times & Qibla, offline

Every feature, from the first launch.

No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.

What Waqt does

Waqt is a clean, ad-free companion for daily prayers. It computes the five prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) for your location entirely on your device using standard astronomical methods, so it works even with no internet. A Qibla compass points you to the Kaaba, you can pick your calculation method and madhab, and optional reminders nudge you before each prayer. A simple tracker lets you mark prayers complete and see your consistency — no streak pressure, just a quiet record.

No account. No ads. No location upload. Everything is calculated and stored on your phone.

• Daily prayer times computed on-device (offline) • Qibla compass to the Kaaba • Calculation method and madhab options • Optional pre-prayer reminders • Quiet prayer-completion tracker • Private and offline

What's inside

  • Prayer times — Compute and display the five daily prayer times for the user's coordinates on-device.
  • Qibla compass — Heading-based compass pointing toward the Kaaba (bearing from current location).
  • Settings — Calculation method, madhab (Asr), and reminder toggles.
  • Tracker — Mark each prayer complete; view recent consistency.

Why we built it

Many popular prayer-time apps are cluttered with ads, request broad data and location permissions, and depend on a connection; users want accurate, private, offline prayer times and Qibla without their worship being monetized or tracked.

What makes it different

An offline-first, ad-free, no-account prayer companion that computes times on-device and includes Qibla, method/madhab options, and a low-pressure tracker — distinct from ad- and data-heavy mainstream apps; brand-neutral and respectful, with no trademarked names.

Who it's for

Hobbyists who want a tool that respects their time, their gear, and their offline life.
