Kids' allowance & money jars
Every feature, from the first launch.
No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.
What Allowly does
Allowly turns the messy job of tracking kids' allowance into a calm three-jar system on your phone. Each child gets a Spend, Save and Give jar; set a recurring weekly allowance, pay bonuses for chores, and record what they buy — Allowly keeps every balance current so you stop doing whiteboard math and arguing over who has what. It teaches kids the save/spend/give habit without handing a five-year-old a debit card or a $5/month subscription.
No bank links. No accounts for children. No ads. Everything lives on this one family phone.
• Spend / Save / Give jars per child • Recurring allowance on the day you choose • Chore list that pays into a jar when done • Transaction history kids can actually read • Fully offline and private

What's inside
- Money jars — Spend/Save/Give jars per child with live balances and color coding.
- Allowance scheduling — Recurring weekly/biweekly allowance auto-deposited on a chosen day.
- Chore payouts — A chore list; marking a chore done moves money into the selected jar.
- History — Readable transaction log per child and per jar, editable.
Why we built it
Parents lose track of how much allowance each kid has across spend/save/give, cash gets miscounted, and the popular kids'-money apps (GoHenry, Greenlight) charge monthly fees and require bank links and a card per child — overkill for a family that just wants a ledger.
What makes it different
A no-fee, no-bank-link, on-device allowance ledger built around the classic three-jar (spend/save/give) method with chore-linked payouts — unlike Greenlight/GoHenry it has no monthly subscription, no debit cards, and no child accounts, so it works for young kids and stays private.
Who it's for
Freelancers, contractors, and small-business owners who want their numbers right at tax time without renting a SaaS to do it.
