Your trail log, offline & simple

Every feature, from the first launch.

No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.

What Trailhead does

Trailhead is the no-fuss hiking logbook for people who actually get outside. Log a hike in under a minute — trail name, area, distance, elevation gain, duration, difficulty, a star rating, and notes — then watch your yearly totals climb in real time.

No GPS required. No account to create. No subscription. Just a clean, offline record of every peak, ridge, and forest loop you've ever done.

• Quick-add sheet: log any hike in seconds with a streamlined form • Year totals: cumulative miles and elevation gain refreshed after every entry • Hike detail view: full record with photo, notes, and stats for every outing • Trail wishlist: save dream trails and mark them done when you get there • Stats charts: monthly miles and elevation bars to see your active seasons • 100% offline — SwiftData on-device, no sign-in, no network ever needed

What's inside

  • Hike logger — A quick-add sheet that captures trail name, area, distance in miles, elevation gain in feet, duration, difficulty, star rating, and notes in one pass.
  • Year totals dashboard — Home screen summary cards showing cumulative miles and total elevation gain for the calendar year, updated after every hike.
  • Trail wishlist — A dedicated list to save trails you want to hike, with area and notes fields; each entry can be marked done and converts to a hike log.
  • Stats view — Monthly bar charts for miles and elevation gain, giving a visual feel for active seasons and personal trends over the year.

Why we built it

Hikers track their outings in Notes, spreadsheets, or memory, losing accurate distance and elevation data over time and having no simple way to manage a wishlist of trails they want to do — while existing apps are GPS-heavy or require accounts and subscriptions just for basic logging.

What makes it different

A purely offline hike journal focused on logging and reflection rather than live GPS tracking — unlike AllTrails or Gaia GPS it requires no account or cell signal, stores everything in SwiftData on-device, and pairs a clean logbook with a built-in trail wishlist and year-at-a-glance stats at a one-time price.

Who it's for

Anyone who wants honest tracking without a coach, a subscription, or a streak guilting them at 11pm.
