Dial in your perfect cup
Every feature, from the first launch.
No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.
What Pourover does
Pourover is the quiet, offline brew logbook for filter-coffee enthusiasts. Choose your method — V60, AeroPress, Chemex, Kalita Wave — enter dose and water weight, and the ratio snaps into place. A built-in step timer keeps you on track through bloom, pours, and draw-down so you're never eyeballing the clock.
Every brew is saved as a full recipe: bean, roaster, roast date, grind setting, time, and a star rating with notes. Flip back to a five-star session and reproduce it cup for cup. A freshness tracker warns you when a bag is past its peak window so you brew beans at their best.
• V60, AeroPress, Chemex, Kalita Wave methods • Live dose → water ratio calculator (fully editable) • Step-by-step pour timer with bloom countdown • Bean cellar with roast-date freshness indicator • Star ratings and tasting notes per brew • Fully offline, zero account required

What's inside
- Ratio calculator + brew timer — Enter dose or water weight and the complementary value updates live at the chosen ratio. A step timer guides bloom, intermediate pours, and draw-down with audio cues.
- Brew log — Every session is saved with method, bean, dose, water, ratio, grind setting, time, star rating, and freeform tasting notes, displayed as a chronological journal.
- Bean cellar — Track beans by name, roaster, and roast date. A freshness indicator highlights bags in their optimal window (7-35 days post-roast) and flags stale stock.
- Quick-start home — Recent brews surface on the home screen with one-tap repeat: load the last session's settings into a new brew to start iterating immediately.
Why we built it
Filter-coffee brewers tweak variables every morning but have no reliable way to record what worked; they fall back on notes apps or paper, losing the exact ratio-grind-time combination that produced a great cup, and existing coffee apps either focus on espresso machines or require subscriptions and cloud accounts.
What makes it different
Pourover focuses exclusively on filter methods (V60, AeroPress, Chemex, Kalita) with a live ratio calculator, a step pour timer, and a bean-freshness cellar — all offline, one-time unlock, no espresso clutter — setting it apart from espresso-first apps like Brewmatic and subscription-gated tools like Acaia's Orion.
Who it's for
Built for anyone who values fast, private, on-device software with a calm, focused UX.
