What Palmlore: Palm Reading does
Every other palm-reading app does the same trick: you photograph your hand, it uploads to a server, and the app paints generic lines on top and reads a script. Palmlore does the opposite. It finds YOUR actual creases.
Point the camera at your open palm and Palmlore uses Apple's Vision framework — the same on-device computer vision built into iOS — to trace the real lines etched into your hand. It detects the contours of every crease, orients the palm, and classifies the three longest major lines by where they fall: your heart line across the top, your head line through the middle, and your life line arcing around the thumb. Then it labels each one right on your photo and pairs it with classic palmistry lore matched to what it actually measured — a long, deeply-curved heart line reads differently from a short, straight one.
No hand nearby? Tap 'Use a sample palm' and Palmlore runs the exact same real detection on a bundled palm, so you can see it work instantly.
Everything happens on your phone. Your palm photo is never uploaded — no account, no server, no analytics. The computer vision runs entirely on-device and works with no signal at all.
Each reading becomes a shareable 'palm card': your palm with its traced lines, a one-line headline, and your heart/head/life traits, sized for a group chat. Save your readings to the Saved tab and revisit them anytime.
Palmlore is for entertainment only. It is real computer vision paired with traditional palmistry lore, with a wink — not fortune-telling, prediction, or advice of any kind. Have fun with it.
