Where is my data stored?+
Only in this browser's local storage. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers, so we can't see it, back it up, or restore it. Clearing site data, a private window, or another device starts empty. Export a backup from the in-app menu to keep it.
Do I need an account?+
You can read about the app without one, but you must sign in to open it. Sign-in is free and takes a few seconds with Google.
How is the web version different from the Tenantfolio iPhone app?+
No camera and no photo storage on the web: the condition log records the room, item, phase, date and your note, while the iPhone app files the photograph itself against each entry. No Vision OCR of the lease — the iPhone app lifts searchable text off a photographed lease; here you keep the lease facts as fields and notes. The demand letter is an outline you download or copy, not a filled-in PDF. The by-state rights table is general information current to early 2026, not legal advice, and cities such as Chicago, NYC and Seattle add stricter local rules. The habitability clock uses a reasonable-reply guideline by severity; your state's statute may set a different standard.
