One tap starts a real 1.000-second ring — no long press, no fiddling. When it closes you name the second, pick an icon and a tint.
The month grid
Every day is a square; kept days fill with that second's tint and icon. Tap a filled square to open it, a blank one to keep it now, and page back through the months.
Compile my reel
Last 7 days, last 30 days, this year or all time — Strand shows the runtime, then plays every second back in order, full screen, one per second.
Reel speed
One second each is the classic. Slide it to half a second and a whole year fits in ninety seconds.

Yes. Sign in with a free All Things AI account and use every screen — no subscription, no in-app purchases.
Where is my data stored?+
Only in this browser's local storage. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers, so we can't see it, back it up, or restore it. Clearing site data, a private window, or another device starts empty. Export a backup from the in-app menu to keep it.
Do I need an account?+
You can read about the app without one, but you must sign in to open it. Sign-in is free and takes a few seconds with Google.
How is the web version different from the Strand iPhone app?+
The second you keep here is written, not filmed: a browser tab cannot hold a year of video, and there is no server to put it on. The one-second ring, the grid, the ranges and the reel are all the real thing. No camera capture, no import-and-trim from your photo library, and no MP4 export — the iPhone app does all three on-device with AVFoundation. No daily reminder: a browser tab cannot send notifications. Strand simply waits for you. Everything is saved in this browser only. Clearing site data erases your strand, so export the CSV or JSON backup if it matters.
