Optional lighter winter cadence
A toggle — not a hidden rule — that stretches every watering interval by half again through November to February.
Species library of 48 plants

Care log per plant

Is the web version of Sprout free?+
Yes. Sign in with a free All Things AI account and use every screen — no subscription, no in-app purchases.
Where is my data stored?+
Only in this browser's local storage. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers, so we can't see it, back it up, or restore it. Clearing site data, a private window, or another device starts empty. Export a backup from the in-app menu to keep it.
Do I need an account?+
You can read about the app without one, but you must sign in to open it. Sign-in is free and takes a few seconds with Google.
How is the web version different from the Sprout iPhone app?+
The iPhone app schedules local notifications when a plant is due; a browser tab cannot, so the web version shows what is due on the home screen and in the Care log instead. No plant photos or growth-photo timeline on the web — the care notes field and the care log carry the story instead. The species library is a starter reference for 48 plants, not the full nursery-tag scanner from the iPhone app, which uses on-device camera OCR. Everything is saved in this browser only. Clearing site data erases your garden, so export the CSV or JSON backup if it matters.
