What you can do in RigCheck on the web

1

Gear locker with real identity records

Name, category, manufacturer, model, serial, date of manufacture, in-service date and your own inspection interval — the record that survives a worn-off label.

2

One-tap pre-use checks

Stamp each item you inspected before use, or the whole kit at once, with the date and time recorded — plus a 12-week heatmap and a stamp streak.

3

Guided inspections, checkpoint by checkpoint

The full harness, rope, lanyard, SRL, connector and helmet packs (6/6/5/6/5/5 checkpoints) with the same guidance text, a pass or flag per checkpoint, findings notes, and your own pass, monitor or retire call recorded.

4

Service-life countdowns

Age from date of manufacture, time in service, and days to the next formal inspection computed from your interval — sorted so the overdue item is always first.

5

Retired archive

Retiring an item keeps its whole record — every stamp, every inspection, the reason and the date.

6

History export

One tap builds a printable per-item history — identity, every pre-use stamp, every inspection with checkpoint results — plus a CSV of all pre-use checks.

Questions

Is the web version of RigCheck free?+

Yes. Sign in with a free All Things AI account and use every screen — no subscription, no in-app purchases.

Where is my data stored?+

Only in this browser's local storage. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers, so we can't see it, back it up, or restore it. Clearing site data, a private window, or another device starts empty. Export a backup from the in-app menu to keep it.

Do I need an account?+

You can read about the app without one, but you must sign in to open it. Sign-in is free and takes a few seconds with Google.

How is the web version different from the RigCheck iPhone app?+

No label photos on the web — the iPhone app stores photos of the identity label and photo evidence per finding; here the typed identity record and findings notes carry that job. The export is a printable text history and a CSV of pre-use checks rather than the iPhone app's formatted PDF. No inspection-due reminders — the browser version shows the countdown when you open it; the iPhone app can notify you. RigCheck records the checks you perform and the calls you make. It does not certify gear and is not a competent-person qualification.
