A price curve for every staple
Each item keeps a time-stamped list of prices with a trend line, latest, lowest, highest and the percentage change since you started tracking it.
Your personal price gap
Every item's annualized rate is weighted by purchase frequency, and each per-purchase difference is multiplied out over a year — so the headline number is dollars your household actually pays, not a national average.
Where the gap comes from
A ranked breakdown showing each staple's share of the annual gap, so you can see whether it is the gas, the eggs or the coffee doing the damage.
Fast logging with the last price pre-filled
Open a staple, tap Log Price, and the previous price and store are already there — adjust what changed and it instantly tells you the difference in dollars and percent.
Store-by-store comparison
Tag prices with a store and compare the average for the same item across stores, with the cheapest highlighted and a roundup of which store wins most often.

Yes. Sign in with a free All Things AI account and use every screen — no subscription, no in-app purchases.
Where is my data stored?+
Only in this browser's local storage. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers, so we can't see it, back it up, or restore it. Clearing site data, a private window, or another device starts empty. Export a backup from the in-app menu to keep it.
Do I need an account?+
You can read about the app without one, but you must sign in to open it. Sign-in is free and takes a few seconds with Google.
How is the web version different from the PriceWatch iPhone app?+
The iPhone app can capture a receipt total with the camera; on the web you type the price in. Your price history is stored in this browser only, so it does not follow you to another device — export a JSON backup to move it. There are no shopping-trip reminders on the web; the iPhone app can nudge you locally.
