Where is my data stored?+
Only in this browser's local storage. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers, so we can't see it, back it up, or restore it. Clearing site data, a private window, or another device starts empty. Export a backup from the in-app menu to keep it.
Do I need an account?+
You can read about the app without one, but you must sign in to open it. Sign-in is free and takes a few seconds with Google.
How is the web version different from the Foundling iPhone app?+
No camera and no on-device OCR — the iPhone app photographs a report and reads the text with Vision. On the web you type, paste or import the text of a document, and it becomes just as searchable. No photos or scans are stored, so the vault holds text rather than images of your records. The timeline exports as a formatted HTML page you print or save as PDF, instead of the iPhone app’s PDF share sheet. Tapping a care-team number hands it to your device to dial — Foundling never places a call itself. Everything lives in this browser only. Clearing site data erases it, and it does not sync to another device — export a JSON backup first.
