What you can do in FODMAP Detective on the web

1

Six guided challenges

Each FODMAP group gets its own test food, three escalating daily doses and a washout day — honey, milk, blackberries, mushrooms, almonds and wheat bread, with the exact portions and the reason each food was chosen.

2

Symptom logging that fits IBS

Bloating, pain, urgency and gas on 0–4 taps plus the Bristol stool scale 1–7, time-stamped and automatically tied to the group you are mid-challenge on.

3

Plain-English verdicts

The same engine as the iPhone app: any entry totalling 5 or more out of 16 counts as a reaction, and the verdict names the severity band and the exact day and portion where the group tripped you up.

4

The case board

All six groups on one grid — not started, in progress, tolerated, triggered — so you always know what is left and what the washout is for.

5

110 bundled foods

Every food tagged by FODMAP group, low/moderate/high level and its serving threshold, searchable and filterable by group and level. On-device, no API.

6

Dietitian report

Verdicts, statuses, peak severity per group and the full symptom log, saved as one file to hand over at your appointment.

Questions

Is the web version of FODMAP Detective free?+

Yes. Sign in with a free All Things AI account and use every screen — no subscription, no in-app purchases.

Where is my data stored?+

Only in this browser's local storage. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers, so we can't see it, back it up, or restore it. Clearing site data, a private window, or another device starts empty. Export a backup from the in-app menu to keep it.

Do I need an account?+

You can read about the app without one, but you must sign in to open it. Sign-in is free and takes a few seconds with Google.

How is the web version different from the FODMAP Detective iPhone app?+

The iPhone app schedules EventKit reminders for each test dose and the washout day; the web version shows the dated protocol but cannot send you a reminder. The dietitian report saves as a formatted text file rather than the iPhone app's PDF share sheet. The food list is the same bundled on-device list as the iPhone app — there is no barcode scanner or recipe lookup in either. Everything is stored in this browser only, with no sync between devices.
