The Dial-In Coach, rule for rule
All ten rules from the app: gushers and chokes get a grind change first, sour-and-fast grinds finer, bitter-and-long grinds coarser, and when the time is already in the 25–30s band it moves the ratio or the temperature instead — with a Why? disclosure naming the rule that fired.
Apply the advice in one tap
Apply to the next shot pre-fills the log screen with the adjusted dose, yield, grind and temperature, so you only change what the Coach moved.
A real shot log with a live timer
Dose, yield, grind, shot time, temperature and grinder, a running shot timer that fills in the time when you stop it, a taste verdict, a 1–5 rating and acidity / sweetness / bitterness / body sliders.
Bean freshness windows
Each bag carries a roast date, rest days and a peak window, and reads Resting, Peak or Fading on a timeline with today marked.
The chart suite
Extraction-time trend against the 25–30s band, grind progression coloured by taste, average rating per brew ratio, and taste score by days off roast — the chart that finds a bag's sweet spot.

How is the web version different from the Dialin Espresso Journal iPhone app?+
