Every stay belongs to a campground but is logged by its own site number — C-14, W-03 (walk-in), Elk Prairie 18 — because that is what you book next year.
The five ratings reviews skip
Shade, privacy, noise, facilities and cell signal, each one to five stars, tap again to clear. Unrated attributes are ignored in the average instead of counting as zero.
Campground averages that pick your site
Each campground page averages every stay you logged there, per attribute, and ranks the sites so you know which loop to book when reservations open.
Notes and a pack-next-time list
Free-form observations plus a one-item-per-line packing list — bear canister, earplugs, levelling blocks — that comes back with the stay.
Wishlist for someday campgrounds
Save a place and why you want to go; when you finally camp there, one tap turns the wish into a logged stay.

Yes. Sign in with a free All Things AI account and use every screen — no subscription, no in-app purchases.
Where is my data stored?+
Only in this browser's local storage. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers, so we can't see it, back it up, or restore it. Clearing site data, a private window, or another device starts empty. Export a backup from the in-app menu to keep it.
Do I need an account?+
You can read about the app without one, but you must sign in to open it. Sign-in is free and takes a few seconds with Google.
How is the web version different from the Campnotes iPhone app?+
No photo attachments: the iPhone app stores JPEGs from your camera roll with each stay, the web version keeps text notes only. No home-screen widget for your next planned trip. Your journal lives in this browser's storage — it does not sync to your phone, so export the JSON backup before clearing site data.
