Turn your day into a retro receipt

Every feature, from the first launch.

No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.

What Receiptd does

Receiptd turns your day, habits, gratitude, and year into a shareable retro thermal-receipt card — the kind of little paper strip a printer spits out, complete with a merchant header, a timestamp, itemized lines, a dashed divider, a witty TOTAL, a thank-you line, and a faux barcode on off-white paper with torn, perforated edges.

Pick a template, fill in a few lines, and Receiptd builds the receipt live as you type. Then tap Share to export a tall receipt image you can post anywhere. The receipt is the whole point — it's a tiny, delightful artifact of your day that's fun to make and fun to send.

Templates: • Daily Receipt — mood, biggest win, top song, gratitude, and a witty day total • Habit Receipt — tally the habits you actually did today • Gratitude Receipt — itemize what you're thankful for • Year Receipt — a year-in-review printed as one long tape

Everything is monospaced and hand-tuned to look like real thermal paper: variable-width barcode bars, a torn top and bottom edge, faded ink, and star ratings. Save every receipt to your Shoebox to revisit, re-share, or delete.

100% offline and private: • No account, no sign-in, no network — the app has no way to send data anywhere • No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no third-party SDKs • Every receipt is stored only on your device using Apple's SwiftData • Sharing uses Apple's standard share sheet — you choose where each image goes • Universal app for iPhone and iPad

Please note: the receipt look, faux prices, and barcode are a decorative novelty. They do not represent a real transaction, store, brand, or payment, and the barcode is not a scannable code. It's your own words, styled to look like a receipt.

Why we built it

Everyday journaling and gratitude entries are boring to look at and rarely worth sharing; there's no delightful, one-tap way to turn a day into a keepsake others actually want to see.

What makes it different

Instead of another list-style journal, Receiptd renders your entries as a convincing retro thermal receipt — merchant header, itemized lines, witty total, and a primitive-drawn barcode on torn paper — that exports as a tall, shareable image. Fully offline, no account.

Who it's for

Hobbyists who want a tool that respects their time, their gear, and their offline life.
