Parkpin

Find your car. Beat the meter.

Every feature, from the first launch.

No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.

What Parkpin does

Parkpin solves two everyday headaches in one tap: forgetting where you parked, and getting a ticket because the meter ran out. When you park, drop a pin — Parkpin saves the spot, and you can add the garage level, a photo, and a note. Set how long you paid for and it counts down, warning you before time's up. When you're heading back, a compass arrow and distance walk you straight to the car.

No account. No constant background tracking. No ads. Your spots and timers stay on this phone.

• One-tap save: location, level, photo, note • Meter countdown with a warning before it expires • Compass + distance back to your car • Parking history so you remember the good spots • Fully offline (uses only on-device location)

What's inside

  • Save spot — Capture current location, garage level, a photo, and a note in one tap.
  • Meter timer — Set paid duration; countdown with a local notification before expiry.
  • Walk back — Compass arrow + distance from current position to the saved spot.
  • History — List of past parking spots with dates and notes.

Why we built it

Drivers lose their car in large garages and lots and get expensive tickets when paid parking expires; built-in 'parked car' features are limited and many parking apps require accounts, payments, or constant location access.

What makes it different

A single-purpose, offline park-and-return tool that combines a saved spot (with level/photo/note), a meter countdown with pre-expiry warning, and a compass walk-back — using only on-device location, no account, no payment integration, no background tracking, unlike payment-first apps (ParkMobile) or always-on trackers.

Who it's for

Built for anyone who values fast, private, on-device software with a calm, focused UX.

In one line: Find your car. Beat the meter.
