Pack right. No ads. No account.

Every feature, from the first launch.

No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.

What Packlist does

Packlist is the offline packing checklist for trips — for the family that packs four people for a beach week, for the consultant who carries the same overnight bag every Tuesday, and for everyone who hates ads in a free app that should just be a list.

What ships in v1:

— Reusable trip templates. Beach, ski, weekend city, business overnight, camping, week abroad — start from a template, customize once, reuse forever. — Per-person packing. Add Sarah, Ben, Mike — each gets their own checklist within the trip, so nobody forgets the kids' rain jackets. — Weather-aware suggestions. Tell the app the destination's typical conditions for the dates (cold, mild, warm, rainy); items appear or hide accordingly. No live weather API needed. — Catalog of common items. Bundled list of ~200 items by category (clothing, toiletries, tech, documents) you can drag into any list. — Pack-as-you-go check off. Tap to check, swipe to delete, long-press to add a note ("the gray one, not the navy"). — Trip dossier. Add flight #, hotel address, passport expiry, dietary notes — all in one place, all offline. — Share the list. Send your kid their own packing list as a clean text message or PDF. — No account, no ads, no subscription, no cloud. Your trips stay on this phone.

For the 35M+ US households that take a vacation each year — the people who packed in a hurry and forgot the chargers.

Why we built it

Travelers need a reusable per-person packing checklist with templates, but PackPoint's free tier is ad-laden with weather-algorithm bugs (omits beach shorts in warm weather), and Packing Pro is iOS-only/premium-only.

What makes it different

Packlist is the only iOS packing app with per-person checklists within a trip (one trip → list per family member), reusable trip templates, a bundled ~200-item catalog, and full offline operation with no ads, no account, no subscription — PackPoint's free tier has ads + UI complaints + weather bugs, Packing Pro is pre…
