JetLag Quiet

Beat jet lag. No subscription.

Every feature, from the first launch.

No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.

What JetLag Quiet does

JetLag Quiet is the offline pre-flight light/sleep schedule that gets your circadian rhythm onto destination time before you land — without paying Timeshifter $10 per trip or $25 a year for the same chronobiology that's been published in peer-reviewed papers for decades.

What ships in v1:

— Enter your home time zone, your destination time zone, your flight date, your typical wake time. JetLag Quiet computes a personal 3-5-day pre-trip schedule. — Daily schedule for each day before departure: when to seek bright light, when to avoid light, when to (optionally) take caffeine or melatonin (you decide; the app is informational), when to sleep. — Calendar export. The whole plan drops into Apple Calendar via EventKit — one event per action. — Local notifications. Get pinged when it's time to seek light or dim the room. — Multiple trips. Save your usual home-to-tokyo, home-to-london plans and re-run them. — No account, no subscription, no cloud. Computed on this phone. — Free, forever.

For the 35M Americans who fly internationally each year — pilots, consultants, parents visiting family — and anyone tired of Timeshifter's per-trip paywall.

What's inside

  • New trip — Home TZ, destination TZ, flight date, wake time → schedule
  • Schedule — Day-by-day light/dim/sleep/caffeine timeline
  • Calendar export — One EventKit event per action across all days
  • Reminders — Local notifications at each action time
  • Saved trips — Reusable templates per route

Why we built it

Travelers want a scientifically-grounded pre-flight light/sleep schedule to beat jet lag, but Timeshifter — the dominant app — charges $10 per trip or $25/year subscription for what is fundamentally a deterministic computation against published circadian science.

What makes it different

JetLag Quiet computes the same kind of pre-trip light/sleep schedule entirely on-device, exports it to Apple Calendar via EventKit, fires local reminders, and saves recurring trip templates — free forever, no account, no subscription — Timeshifter is $10/trip or $25/year, Uplift focuses on post-arrival acupressure (di…
